PNoy on his first year

I started the day watching Filipino news and I literally didn't finish my well-prepared breakfast. Salvage victims are being flashed here and there as lives end just like that. Or maybe that's the only way to get back to people for the wrongs that they do. So now, I thought someone will also get back on the Ampatuan murder suspects and serve justice that way.

The succeeding news is a review of President Aquino's performance as he celebrates his first year as a president. The media, being one of the most powerful entities in the Philippines, has every way of presenting their claims as to how his performance went. So here are my thoughts:

-Being a third world country, who would expect for a major turnaround in a year's time.
-Too much politics. Some people/groups are really made to contradict no matter how good the programs are. What is life without problems, much as, what is a teleserye without the villain lambasting the main character.
-PNoy lacks command, experience, management. We all know how he rose to be the President.
-Relating to that. Let's admit this, when the late President Cory Aquino died, we were all moved emotionally on how everything transpired after that. Ergo, we vote with emotions, not with mind.  We think if we are moved by emotions, we make decisions with mind. Those are two different things.
-I'm now watching a Filipino documentary about PNoy's performance. If I can only ask, how do we gauge a President's performance, what are the standards, what are the expectations, where are the numbers and what happened with those numbers. All I can see for the last fifteen minutes are points of views. We have varied opinions. But people can meet halfway.

So do I have solutions? I don't have a massive one. But it's classic for someone in position to have a clear command and management to move the country such as ours. People will feel that....people will sway with it. It surely works both ways but let's admit the fact that we can't sway a boat without the captain. He has to do more, I guess.
